WHAT IS ARTICLE 32?

The child has the right to be protected from work that threatens his or her health, education or development. The State shall set minimum ages for employment and shall regulate working conditions.

CHILD LABOUR

An estimated 246 million children are engaged in child labour. Nearly 70 per cent (171 million) of these children work in hazardous conditions – including working in mines, working with chemicals and pesticides in agriculture or with dangerous machinery

EducateIt is critical to improve a child's awareness of their fundamental human rights, as well as to enhance their employment opportunities later in life

Laws & RegulationGovernments must pass laws to prevent child labour. Companies must adopt laws preventing children from being involved in manufacturing goods

Reduce PovertyPoverty reduction means parents are not forced to send their children to work or sell them to employers in order to survive

Raise AwarenessThe world must stay informed about the injustices of child labour. We must raise awareness of exploited children and work towards giving them a better future
